jordan britton (8 out of 10 ) Could have been scarier but was still good.
MattF (2 out of 10 ) Easily the worst of the Alien Quadrilogy. It turned the franchise from a bunch of awesome horror movies into a farce, with terrible lines, terrible characters and not one scary moment. On the plus side, Winona Ryder was good to look at. Joss Whedon's worst work was writing the script.
Moe (7 out of 10 ) Alien 3 was the worst, why do people always bash resurrection, at least they had vision and it's not like alien 3 gave them anything to work with anyway. The killing of hicks and newt before the opening credits is just unforgivable.
Ryan (3 out of 10 ) Nothing about Resurrection worked. Even AvP was better. As for Alien 3 being the worst? I'd argue that it was the best (the extended cut), the nihilistic tone absolutely worked for me. It was a film with vision, the fact that only Ripley survives the crash on Fury augments her status as a survivor, perhaps even greater than the Alien. It took balls to kill of Hicks and Newt. I could go on all day, but I'm getting distracted, Resurrection was a half baked, comedy farce in the Alien series.
Matt (1 out of 10 ) As horrible as killing off Hicks (who apparently is still alive according to the Colonial Marines game), and Newt was, Resurrection has a considerable number of things that makes it not work. 1. Not making the containment rooms for the aliens acid proof. 2. The soldiers who were assigned to guard the ship, running from the creatures that they were supposed to protect the crew from. 3. The one mercenary who had extremely unlikely accuracy being unable to hit the alien that was just below him. 4. The same mercenary's death, apparently because he can't swim (wouldn't this be racist too?) 5. Every s scene with new Ripley 6. Should we feel bad for the human/alien hybrid? And really, since the Facehuggers impregnate humans, wouldn't they already be hybrids? This movie was a wreck, Joss Whedon should have been ashamed of it, but instead he defends the script. It's ultimately a movie that was made to say "Hey, we can make a worse Alien movie.".
